Dear folks,
My parents bought this antique cupboard back in 1987. I would like to know where this cupboard could be made? And when it is made? Do you know anything about the style of this cupboard?
I hope you can help me.
Kind regards,
Hendrik

Can you take pics of the dovetailing on the drawer sides and the hardware ?? One of the back too if you don`t mind !! I see what looks like black oak so probably your geographic area !!
Do you know what was told about the cupboard when it was purchased ?? Not sure why but I get a hint of Spain in the decoration !!

I have taken some pictures of the back and the drawers See the pictures in the first message.
On the keys it says: Pander den Haag. So we know it is made by Pander in The Hague

There you go. You just answered your own question. Klaas Pander worked in the Hague and earlier in Gouda. He died in 1897. You piece probably was made in Der Haag Holland in the later period around 1880. The big question is who are the couple depicted in the carving? Obviously aristocrat or royalty. I love this piece. I am not qualified to price it but when you get a European furniture appraiser to look at it you may be pleasantly surprised.

Easier when you have all the info !! Those dark brackets and fronts made me think of the early Spanish styling !!

You can find a few pieces cited by H. Pander & Zonen Den ,Haag of Amsterdam. So far all the pieces are nice cabinets (no pics) and a few have been offered at Christies bringing in more than estimated prior to the auction.
I remember this about he aircraft!

Beautiful! Could even be 1870s. Around here I'd expect to see $1500-$2000 on this one.
