Hiya,
I have a 150 years old berber door and I would like to sell it. Where is the best place that I can do that? Any tips will be appreciated. I have attached a picture of the door. Thanks.

You could try craigslist but you have to watch out for scammers. It's easy if you get someone in your area, so they can pick it up themselves. Or, you could check for a local auction house and send a picture to see if they are willing to take it. Other than that there's ebay. That can be difficult because arrangements for shipping.

These doors can sell for 5 figure sums....and more, designers love them...but they don,t come cheap..see link...with the kind of money that they can fetch, a prospective buyer, would be expected to pay the postage....from experience, FedEx...are the best,....i once posted an item weighing 95 kg..from Scotland to CA..and it only cost the buyer £250 postage...which he was happy to pay...the one advertised below..whilst different in shape from yours will give you some insight as to what yours could bring....and @15,000 euro,s ex tax...it is,nt cheap...

You have been given some VERY VERY VERY GOOD advice from some well-seasoned/experienced people on the forum.
Gorgeous piece and it can fetch a good price; especially if in good condition!
Did you ever have it installed or just had it leaning?

no good if the buyer is on the other side of the pond...or perhaps the other side of the country....when i sold my giant rc tank, the buyer in CA,...transferred the money into my account, prior to my shipping it...he got it within 4 days and was as happy as the proverbial...pig in sh*t

Gee Thanks all! great advise indeed. i m thinking of contacting auction houses to see if they can take it in. By the way, it was never installed at my home, but it was used before. Thanks so much really appreciate the help:)
