HI,
Found this plate at the thrift store.
It is Owens gold medal St.louis. Owens China Co.
I can only find three marks by Owens. Two of which are similar but don't have the "O.C.Co." within the mark.
Not in Lehner's US marks or in Debolts dictionary of marks. And not on the web so far.
I like to match marks exactly if possible as sometimes this can pin point a specific year or on occassion could something rare as far as marks go.
8 3/4 inch across
1 inch high
Anyone know?
Thank you,
sandfisher

Did you read this ??

I had read that, but just looking to match up the mark with the "O.C.Co." within it. The marks I find don't have the "O.C.Co." as part of it.
I'm sure I will come across some matches to this mark when I search more.

Most china companies went through several marks through the years !! Not that it makes a difference in value,,its just how they progressed !! One problem in their using the O.C.Co was likely because Ohio China Company also used the O.C. Co. on their china !! One of the Staffordshire potteries used it too !!
