Title: The parlour songbook.
Post by: tisruthy on September 07, 2013, 06:19:20 AM: Hello. Could anyone help me. I bought a small pottery/porcelain ornament in the shape of a book, called The parlour songbook with leaves and a lady on the front. Is this an antique?

That is SMALL ! Not really big enough for a wall pocket, and could explain why mart can't see any wear ... it's ornamental and not useable. Probably spent its life in a china cabinet .... (although it could still be modern ??? )

Many of these old doll houses are exact in their furniture and décor items !! Many are replica`s of Victorian homes and they pay attention to detail !!
