Title: Amazing Estate Sale today!
Post by: greenacres on September 12, 2013, 02:12:55 PM
As I left my house at 8 this morning I notice nothing, but on my way home I saw the sign. It was a sale at the huge compound behind my house. They are one of the wealthiest family's in the area. The curiousity had me running over. It's a private drive with huge mansion owned by one family. I still don't know why. Great house, but I got there late. Darn, lol I stayed away from the china knowing that it's not such a great value anymore. They had Villeroy and Bach set $195. I could go back tomorrow. Also they had some limoge. I'm still thinking. This will suprise you, there were two police cars when I arrived. Two nicely dressed women loaded their car up, like they were making a purchase and tried taking off. They started to barrel away. This is a joke if you saw the small narrow road. They were arrested. They said they thought you paid outside, lol. Anyway, this was my purchase. There wasn't much left.

Ooops forgot one more thing. They paid $400. and were trying to sell them for $350. and lowered them to $100.. I tried to get them down to $75., but that was a no go as they say. The person doing the estate sale said they would kill her for selling them for that.

The candlesticks are neat, do you think the 1830 date was accurate?
