Title: copper smelter figurine with two holder areas
Post by: danagray on September 14, 2013, 05:23:52 PM
Can anyone help me identify this? The markings inside say C. S. 2030. The base is 7 inches wide and 10 inches long, and the height is about 10 inches tall. Thanks.

No, I can't identify the manufacturer...but check out the description of this one done in terra cotta.

Apparently, it has the same "C.S." marking.

This is copper patinated spelter or just a spelter figure copied most likely after a bronze popular at the time, then a thin layer of copper over that !! They usually are faux aged to a bronze look !! These were popular from 1920`s to 1950`s !! You can find many of them online !!
