Title: Pitcher Pattern
Post by: capot1948 on September 14, 2013, 07:15:18 PM
Realizing this is more than likely not an antique I'm trying to figure out what this pattern may be called. It's etched into the glass. I looked at all the photos of 'glass pitchers' on Ebay and found not a one that matches. Any help would be appreciated.

It is probably around the 50's or 60's.  Could be Fostoria or West Virginia Glass company.  Any makers marks?

None that I can see but examining it under a good bright light the bottom has a gash across the bottom that is smooth, about 2 1/2" long and about a mm or less deep. Also the bottom feels rough. Where the top part of the handle is connected there seems to be a crack that runs the length of it however you can't feel it on the inside or outside. Here are a couple of more photos of the bottom and the side where the handle is connected with the 'crack'.
