Title: Help identifying old things in Maine
Post by: efoyt on September 25, 2013, 02:54:40 PM
Ok...so I'm helping my dad and uncle take care of my grandfathers estate.  So any help identifying or putting a price on the items I'm listing would be very helpful.  Also where to sell them would be helpful.
Thanks, Ethan

I think these are ice boots?  Found with ice cutting equipment.

I think you,ll find..that these are more likely to be early
Crampons...used in mountaineering...bu t to be more specific...when climbing an ice wall...they may be of interest to collectors of mountaineering equipment..

.did,nt see your other posts....so may have to do a little back tracking.....like oops....maybe they ain,t for mountain climbing.... ;D

They could be though...or to keep you from falling down while ice fishing.

There are many ice cleats on ebay, but there are many types. Some are military ice cleats. I guess they could be used for any ice sport as in climbing or fishing. I would think that climbing would involve more cleat on the toe and front part of you foot. The prices vary.
