Hi, My Nanna has a pair of green glass vases with what looks like a lilly on the front. She can trace them back to 100+ years, they were given to my Nanna's Grandmother as a wedding present in 1893.
We know nothing of these 2 pieces and would love some advice as to how to get some more information from them.
Look forward to hearing, I have attached a not so good picture.

Is the design painted or etched on the glass ??
-
Looks painted to me Mart.
Maybe Wendy will hop along here soon...

and here she is...... ;D

It looks like white painted.

they don,t look identical....paint wise that is....which ..is a good thing....for it means they are hand done....

have,nt you noticed ..she,s been..... ;D

Myself, I’d call them “Victorian era Bohemian enameled ewers”. I certainty would accept the 1893 date.
-
Yes, they are certainly not the same, so hand painted. Looking at them again it does look like a white enamel.
I guess we are still waiting for Wendy. ;D
