Title: What is this wooden antique???

I picked this up at a garage sale for $2.  It looked neat, I just have no clue what it is.

There is no maker mark on it.

Any help would be great!

It is a 1950`s or so desk organizer !! The little round pockets usually held paper clips !! Would have had a matching pen holder !!
