I have a line on a oak carverd split pedistal table.  The pedistal is in very nice shape but the top is not and I can only get one side to slide open.   I really want a table that can open large.  SO,  Any suggestions on how I can get the other side to move or should I just move on in hopes that I will find another.  Thanks Corina

WD 40?  Is it a metal slide?  Wood?  WD may well work. Let it sit overnite.   Don't overlook vaseline either.  KB
