Title: Antique P & A Lamp... Help! (w/ Pics)
Post by: 4sl.ag on October 02, 2013, 01:03:22 PM
Hi Everyone!

I've got a lamp here from my grandmother who recently passed. I’ve been able to identify that it’s a Plume & Atwood lamp manufactured by Risdon Mfg Co. during the 50’s or 60’s (as they produced P & A products out of their Waterbury plant then).

But... I can’t find what kind of lamp it is!  I haven’t even been able to find one that’s similar (Tall, Brass Base, Glass Globe). And the bottom felt is missing, so any info that used to be there is gone. I'd be so grateful if you guys could help pinpoint what kind of lamp it is... possible style / etc (Pictures attached).

Thanks in advance for the time and consideration!  -Shanna

There is no particular style to most oil lamps !!  Most are known by the manufacturer !!  These were utilitarian  and just made to be used !! Looks like the chimney was replaced on yours at some time !! I have several of these lamps !!
