No record of this person as an artist at all !!  Meaning probably a local one, paints as a hobby and not a professional !! That being said,, its a nice painting, well done, with an impressionistic look !! I like it !!   What did you pay for it ??

don't be disheartened - its all a learning curve - and heck--without knowing who he artist was -- you wouldn't have known a thing about the pic.   Besides, its a lovely pic..

That appraiser had probably never seen or heard of any of her paintings .... and he would even think about telling you that.

Click on the following link and ask that gallery about it or who to contact about it. They just might tell you. ;D ;D

This type of art sells for very little in the UK. 20th century American artists paintinging in this style seem to be copying Victorian art but adding colours seen more in work by Robert Cottingham and other photorealists. Blues and reds that don't appear in the natural world.

Often see $20 items marked up at hundreds of dollars and plenty of examples on the forum. Art is the one area where it can be done most though as it's very subjective.

$20 is a good price to pay though, as i could see this being sold for five times that quite quickly

Have you stopped to think.....looking at yours...and looking at that one for $850...they are like chalk & cheese.....its my thinking that yours may have been done when she was just learning her trade and it may have been sold...long before she was recognized....

Good thinking.  I just emailed the Kentucky creative art club to see what I could find out. I don't know her email address. Been searching for the painting most of the day.  Any way hopefully they will get back to me. Thanks for your suggestion.

Im getting a little closer about that painting. I called an art dealer in Huntington where the rewards were given. They wanted me send email the pic. Said they'd get back to me. Must be doing research or something, its been about 2 hrs.
