If this is the same artist I think you hit the jackpot! I don't see a signature on the eBay sculpture. First yours looks like a "b" and not a "p".

Hey bigwull sorry for the link it's just I'm on the road often and linking my shared files is easier on a mobile device I'm including photos on this post. To greenacres I've seen him but I can't tell it the letter after E is a P or a B. BTW what is the best way to tell if a statue is not copy? Thanks for the link too I'm hoping it is. Winter is coming and the roof is leaking ;D

Pretty clear,,J Ebstein !!
Here's a little information from ArtCult.com:
Ebstein, Joseph
Birth - Death : 1881-1961
Nationality : French
Ebstein studied sculpture in Paris and exhibited his works at the Salon des Artistes Francais from 1905. He was awarded the French Legion of Honour in 1930.
(I also see there was an example of his work (26" tall Young Girl sculpture) on the Lancaster, PA Craigslist priced at $2000 last month. The photo is removed, so hard to compare.)

Thanks Rauville.

Nice price! You have a treasure!

By the way mart I was only asking the question if this statue was plaster to look bronze. I noticed his plaster statues looked bronze, so I questioned is his bronze or plaster. I trust Rauville he's never been wrong, lol even if it does get on BigWullie's nerves. ;D
