Title: Can anyone confirm if this is one of Bofill's sculpture?

Not sure if this is his. He did have a blacksmith but very hard to tell if this is it. I'm including a link to the my share folder and including a few pics here of the sculpture. How much cold this be worth? Thanks in Advance

There are more than one sculptor with the name Bofill...Josep..and Antoine...they are Spanish...i think we can discount Josep as being the maker of this figure...as the signature is wrong....he signed his with his first name initial J Bofill...see pic...what we need to know is the weight, and if it has been cast using the lost wax method....a sure sign that the lost wax method was used...will be...a small hole somewhere on the figure....this was a vent for the molten wax to escape...

So my question to Bigwull is the wax method a sign of authenticity? Where is the hole usually located? BTW thanks for the info. I learn something new. Ipcress sorry to hear that, how do you list an item on liveauctioneers? I'm not an auctioneer could I still list an item.

The lost wax method is,nt a sign of authenticity...as this method was also used when spelter castings were done...Spelter being...an alloy of zinc and copper...or lead...it was often called a poor mans bronze...see link to ebay...where you will note that the figures shown ..whilst they may look like bronze...they are in fact spelter...but getting back to your fugure...i,would say yours is bronze...but a sure way to tell is to look at the base...spelter ..being a zink alloy...shows up as white metal....wheras bronze does,nt....
