Attached are links to two objects I'm struggling to identify. The first I've asked dozens of people and no one knows what it is. Flickr link is here:

If anyone at all can tell me what that is, I'd be appreciative. A value would be even better, but at this point I just want to know if anyone has any idea what it is.
Next is a piece of pottery I found at a garage sale, and I can't make out the signature:

It may be nothing, but I hate being unable to read something, so I was hoping maybe someone with good eyes or experience can tell me if it's worth holding onto. Your help is appreciated. Thanks!

Sure! Sorry, I'm new. Attached is the weird object I can't find:

Here is the pottery:

They may not be old or have value, but as I'm sure you've experienced too I hate not knowing what they are.

I know exactly what the lady object is. This is a marriage cup. The tradition is that the groom drinks from the larger goblet made by the lady's skirt. The bride drinks from the small tipping cup. Whichever one of them spills (always the bride) has to be obedient to the other.

This page offers another version of the story. I was going from memory on the story above.

You rock my world. Thanks. These ones are clearly newer and probably not worth anything, but it's so good to see that I can finally say what they are.

You're welcome! Glad to have tipped your cup!!
There are several on eBay right now, prices range dramatically: http://www.ebay.com/bhp/marriage-cup (http://www.ebay.com/bhp/marriage-cup)
