So recently my Grandmother passed away and left my uncle this (what we think is bronze) Hound dog. He was curious how much its worth but i cant find anything like it on the internet. My uncle says he remembers seeing it since he was a kid so we know its older than 1951 but we don't know how old exactly. There are no markings on it at all. It stands 5" from foot to head. It is 6" from tail to head. its 2.5" thick (widest part).
I don't know if it is worth anything but ANY Information you can give will be a massive help. I don't even know for sure what kind of dog it is. If you need any other information or photos or anything just say so and i will do what i can. Thanks
Pictures: (sorry for how big they are)

You need to make your photos smaller. They are taking up a lot of the page. We just has a similar post. But, we need to see it better. :)

Are you "posting" via you camera ...... or your PC?
If PC, then execute a "save copy" and edit the picture.
Or mark your above jpg links with the "insert image" tab.

From the little I can see your dog most resembles an English Pointer similar to this one !! Yours looks like a colored brass from the yellow color on the bottom of the feet !! Could be made in Japan as many were !! These were common mid century and almost everyone had a few of them !! The pointer was popular as was the Collie, German Shepard, and Poodle !! Behind those was the Cocker Spaniel, Pugs/Boston Terrier and Hound !!

You,re on the right track Mart...but, i,d say it was more like a Beagle...as Pointer,s have longer legs
and from the first pics its a half starved Beagle at that...

Couldn't really see it on my tablet. It was to big. I only saw some of it. I'm on my desktop now. It look like a Greyhound before. That looks like a Lab. Looks like a hunting dog. :)

A Lab!!....what have i told you about them tablets.."you should listen to The Verve"...."the drugs don,t work"..this my Dear G,acre is a Labrador..that above is a Beagle...used in Fox hunting..
Lab indeed....what is the world coming too... ;D.

Heads wrong for a Lab !! Now that Wullie posted a pic I can see well,,could well be a Beagle,,legs too short and feet too big for a pointer !! Hard to tell what anything is when you can`t see it !!

Yeah...and if yer like G,acre...you end up with a greyhound...... ;D
-
It could be a blood hound, look at the lips or jowles.
-
This is a hunting type dog !! Don`t think its a hound though !! It more closely resembles a beagle !! Even though a beagle is a "sort of" hound !!!
-
Mart, I love your !!!! ;D

Beagle head but not a typical beagle body. It's a half breed!!!
However, a hunting dog at that!
Nice piece!
