Post by: sugarcube5419 on November 07, 2013, 08:04:05 PM

Very cute sugarcube how big is it?? looks like ones I have seen that contained Christmas Cards.  CL I'm sure is the illustrator of the scene. Try searching Christmas tins containing cards / candy

I must say i have even seen tins that held stationary as well as cards Wendy177.  Most people think they only contain chocolate or teas!  :/

depending on the size..i.e. depth if around 4in..then most likely a biscuit tin..

big wull wins-since it was on the back I knew it and didn't ask that.  Here's some better pics of the front, do you think its a theme from something or just artwork, like I said it reminds me of peter pan more than christmas.  CL is on it but I can't figure that out either.

No need to  apologise..S,Cube,.it happens all the time on here..and if you cast yer mind back KC..to that funny looking Italian plonk bottle that Kevin asked about a while ago...remember..he posted a pic of it ..upside-down,..he knew what it was,but kept stum,...and we were all chasing our tails.trying to find out what it was,..but he was never asked to give all the info...so why should S,Cube,...for had she done so, you,or anyone else for that matter, would,nt have needed to post a reply...its a simple case of soor plooms ..if you ask me.. ;D .

Most of the people that did the illustrations for these tins worked for the company !! They were not done from other pieces of art !! That's why they just put initials,, so they get credit for it !!  Otherwise they wouldn`t get paid !!  Many had several artists at any given time !! Kind of like piecework !!  Had they been independent artists they would have a full signature !!  Almost impossible to track these artists down !!

It happens here all the time!  :)
