Title: Antique scale questions

Hi,recently purchased this from eBay for 21 euro. I have a few questions about it. Apothecary,jewellers,gold scale or for other purpose? What year would this be dated at? (The seller said 1830 or earlier) . The box is oak but seems a bit to o dark(stained)? The table it is on is walnut. Unfortunately the wire hinges are broke but are 3/4 still there. Sorry only 2pics at a time if I'm lucky. Thanks.
