Hi
Here are three oil paintings that I'd like to know more about. These are mid-century (50s-60s?) and belonged to my mom, who dabbled in oil painting herself. All three are signed, but I don't think they are known artists. The one of the woman holding the hat is signed off canvas. I will have a look and update this post with the artists name.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Not sure if they have the christian name right though.

Thanks. Looks the same and the signature is nearly identical to my untrained eye. Maybe he did a few of the same scene.

There are a few differences in signature,, Could be Giclee prints !! Or one of each !! Where are you located ???

Giclee... When did they start doing that? We have had these in the family since the 60s. We live in the SF Bay Area BTW.
-
Giclee prints have been done for many years !! Many major artists do a few to add income !! That's what Thomas Kincaid, G. Harvey and others have done !! They are reproduced in detail and are difficult for some people to tell the difference !!
When you find more than one of the same identical scene,, that's usually what they are !!
If the artist painted more than one of the same identical thing,,kind of throws a kink into the "original" concept !!

Differences in the painting, too. Just posted it as a reference point
