Title: Can anyone shed some light on the era of these chairs?
Post by: Redthorn999 on December 29, 2013, 06:51:03 AM
Hi guys, I have 2 antique chairs I think they may be either Victorian or Georgian. Would anyone be able to shed some light on the era and possibly the value ? Thank you :)

The very heavy legs and solid back crest say they are more likely 1930`s or 40`s !! Possibly a little earlier if you are in the UK !!

It's a poor photo. There's a Regency look about them but, as Mart says, if the legs are as thick as they look then likely to be later.

Look quite nice though.

I have better pics but because they were too large I couldn't attach them all. The legs are quite thick maybe this pic will give a better view. And yes I am in the UK. :) also are they worth anything?
