Title: Carnival Glass base color

Greetings,

I have a few pieces that, when you look at the base (marie), the glass color appears to be a burgundy. Is this considered purple/amethyst or red? I will post pics when the sun shines. Thanks.

Can be either of the three depending on who you ask !!  Most will call it amethyst or purple !!
