Title: Vintage Vacheron & Constantin Watch
Post by: valhom on January 14, 2014, 11:32:16 AM
Can you tell if this is a fake or authentic? The band says 14k gold filled, but I don't know if the band caem with the watch originally, is the metal purity of a watch part always stamped on the outside or could it be stamped where it says how many jewels it has and the serial number when you open it up? Thanks.

Not sure but I think the case is usually marked outside and is separate from the movement !!

You need to open the watch and see where the movement was made and how it was made.

Looks fine to me, though slightly suffering from use / age. Kreisler bracelet / strap.
Case appears to have some gold content but might be plated.

Great maker. Similar to Patek Philippe as being classy, understated.

I actually like these straps.
