This mirror was given to me in the 1980's, I have been able to find the company but not this style of mirror.  Was trying to find out what the age of the piece might be.  There is one additional picture with a close up of the number on the label, I will reply to this post with the additional picture.

For sure antique!  The back side of the mirror is black.  I was just looking at one with the back of the mirror like that.  Have you Googled the company's name?

I have googled the company and only come up with modern looking mirrors, nothing that looks similar to this one.

How big is it?  I can read the 563 but not the number/mark after it.  What is it?

Since the number is written in the space where the patent number should be,,it is likely the factory style number !! It is 563 and  either a check mark (most likely) or a V (doubtful) !!  Could be 1920`s or earlier !! Will know more when I can track down the correct Central Glass Co.  There was more than one !!  Either gesso or plaster on wood base !! My Grandmother had one similar !! Slightly different etch pattern though !!

I have found several central glass co. , and was thinking it looked more like a check mark.  would the patt. stand for pattern and not patent?  When did mirrors stop having black backs?

Didn`t notice that but it is Patt. so it would be the pattern number,,I should have paid more attention !! Not sure that will help though !! They usually used a pattern number just for the company employees and salespeople !!  Records are scarce for pattern numbers !!

It's not the exact same mirror but provides a direct base for the company and age.

Unfortunately, we have found over the years that many manufacturers used several different names/labels depending on which store/distributor was selling them. Stores wanted people to believe that they were selling the ONLY ones made by a company and they were exclusive to their store.  They would have agreements with manufacturers that they could sell the exact/same item to other outlets/stores...thus they would have to make wide variations for others.   I think this may be the case with this item.

Does look like it is from early 1920 time period like those stated above.
