Title: Question about milk glass fish

I recently purchased a piece of milk glass dish that is in the shape of a fish.  I don't know much about antiques.  The bottom reads -patented June 4th 1872.  The lady that sold it to me said it was her grandmothers and that it was very old and worth a lot!  It looks like it could be used as an ashtray.  It's about 10" long and 7" wide.  Anyone have any ideas?  Maybe value?  Couldn't find anything like it on ebay.  Thanks 740joellen :D  :huh:

Hi.........Pictures say more but it reads like you have part of a set.  In years past,  fish was served more readily than it is today. It was served on a platter, dispensed on smaller plates as yours then smaller matching plates were used to hold the bones, etc. of said fish. And a delicacy it was I'm sure.......

Howdy' tim, excuse the interruption. atterbury & co dated there glass in the 1870's. it would have a value of.$150.00 dollars
