hi i have been told that this is an antique french poker chip from the 1600s

Click on the image and you'll see something similar, especially the orb within the " tressure " shape

The legend on this should read " Verbum Domini Manet in Aeternum ". However, on your token there is no B in Verbum and no A in Aeternum.

I would tread carefully  ;)
