I have a statue that my mom had since she was a child she said she remembered it on the mantle growing up. She was born in the early 1930s. I am trying to find out if this is a repro or authentic VILLANIS. I have checked around the internet and can't seem to find much that helps. My one main question is that the Villanis "signature" on its back does not have the E. in front of it....just something I noticed. If anyone could help me to identify the actual "name" of this statue and its authenticity and appraisal. Thanks in advance.(http://i892.photobucket.com/albums/ac129/jacarney8657/DSC00100_zps4b2af4d5.jpg) (http://s892.photobucket.com/user/jacarney8657/media/DSC00100_zps4b2af4d5.jpg.html)(http://i892.photobucket.com/albums/ac129/jacarney8657/DSC00102_zpsd087be68.jpg) (http://s892.photobucket.com/user/jacarney8657/media/DSC00102_zpsd087be68.jpg.html)(http://i892.photobucket.com/albums/ac129/jacarney8657/DSC00101_zpsdd148c0b.jpg) (http://s892.photobucket.com/user/jacarney8657/media/DSC00101_zpsdd148c0b.jpg.html)

This is a reproduction piece of E Villanis (French) who signed his works E. Villanis. There have been many reproductions of his works produced in the US, France, Taiwan, etc.
