Title: Drawing by Oscar Kokoschka ?
Post by: gerspee on February 17, 2014, 11:55:37 AM
Bought as real but without more provenance then coming from private Austrian collection .  Paper looks and feels old and I think if made by him in his England time . same use off colors etc . But been put down as not by him so maybe nice to know who Milly is as written on the back off the drawing . No contacted dealer is telling me why the think it's not by him .  Any ideas to find out more and better ?

I would agree it is not his signature !! It shows too many inconsistancies in the strokes !! Looks like it was written over !! Above has several sigs by him including the OK sig. Doesn`t match !!

Totally agree it isn't his noted signature!

Had a look on the internet and there's several drawings with a monogram like this one . And there original drawings by him . So still would like to know if there was a Milly in his surroundings in his time in Great Britain ?  I
