Title: French made statue lamp(L & F Moreau figural lamp)
Post by: billwas1 on February 22, 2014, 11:43:48 AM: I am unable to find info online for this lamp and would really appreciate some help. ERNTE is printed on the base. The label on the bottom indicates it was made in France(sorry there is no pic, this label is in english). The cord has been cut. I did not find a makers marking.

Apparently these is a "Figural Spelter" lamp. Still no ideas on the maker.

Post by: cogar on February 23, 2014, 04:22:56 AM: If the cord has been cut ....... then it probably needs to be rewired before you try to plug it into 110V.

If you do rewire the lamp & use it, make sure you only use very low wattage bulbs as you can easily destroy the thread holding the beading together. I have in the past sold pairs of those bulbs covers for $200- $300 depending on condition. GG

If I was interested in selling this do you think it would be better to rewire it or leave it as is?
