Title: 1942 US quarter inside small plaque need help!

OK so I found this thing in a storage unit with some other old but unrelated stuff and have no idea what it is. The coin is from 42 and with the guns on the back I thought it might be something with WWII. It came in the case and fits so nicely I think they are together but I'm not sure.

Did it come in a case?  If so, could you please take a picture of the case as well?

8th Infantry cloth badge and a bit of " trench " art in the form of a lighter.

It came in the cloth pouch.

Ip, do you have any idea what it might be worth?
