Title: vase valuation pls
Post by: gavins1 on February 24, 2014, 04:31:39 PM
Hi, I am in Australia, This vase has been in the family for a long time I think it is 200- 300 yrs old, it was said to me that the empororar of Japan gave it to a relative for working on lighthouses.
any idea of what it is worth?, it has some damage as seen, but repairable.
Thankyou
Gavin

Is there a mark on the base ? Not necessarily in the middle but maybe on the rim ?  pick of that would help.

Also a closer image of the decoration.

Stunning looking piece. Cloisonne.
