Title: Japanese Vase Identification
Post by: wookee on March 04, 2014, 05:06:43 AM
Hello Guys...first post from me and I know absolutely zero about antiques ???

I'm clearing out my loft ready for a house move and this was up there. It belonged to my mother and it has been around since at least the 70's. I'm reasonably certain it isn't Ming Dynasty ;) but I have no idea what sort of value to put on it so I can decide what to do with it. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers, Luke

Ming would be Chinese, so you are indeed certain  ;D

It's Satsuma c1920. Probably from Kyoto.
