Title: Help indentify and dating ceramic - porselain ?? chinese??

any body any info about date and origin of this item??? It has the mark on the back saying number 17 in blue color and is decorated with flowers, butterflies and birds.. any info is welcome... thank you

i found out that the design on the plate called- Asiatic Pheasants transfer printed china pattern. But what does number 17 means?

Looks like Staffordshire pottery to me. 17 will be a miscellaneous factory mark - no real relevance in this case.

Ipcress, maybe you could give me some hints as to the "date and maker" of this platter which I still don't have a clue as to its origin.  :'( :'(
