I found a Bond Electric sewing machine and cant seem to find information on it anywhere. Any one know anything?
-
Here is a link with some information on them. http://www.philageohistory.org/rdic-images/view-image.cfm/HGSv7.0579

Not very much out there on these. Singer invented the first ones. Yours looks to be pre 1930. My thought is they didn't stay in business long because Singer boxed everyone else out of the market.

You're probably right since that link is the only one out there. Thanks for your help.

If you are using Bond as your search name you likely will not find it !! It was made by Delco appliance division of General Motors Corp. Its on the name plate !!
-
Yes that part is clear but i still can not locate any machine that resembles it. It has GM parts however the machine is bond.

I wonder if this would be the same manufacturer?

That Bond company says that their household sewing machines are made by Gaohong Sewing Equipment Co.,,!! Doesn`t sound like they would have GM parts !! We were not given a description as to if this is a commercial or household machine !!
-
I want to say household but i really have no idea.
-
That is what it looks like to me !!

This appears to be a household machine. DELCO made the motor assembly inside. This was a model of theirs...as were many others. Not a top seller or stay-around-long one unfortunately. The early 1900's were EXTREMELY competitive and the war helped spur that on to many companies/brands/lines of products discontinuing.
