This appears to be an advertising lamp for the company!  This is being referred to as their "Wonders Apparatus".  Seemingly late 1930's to 40's.

Here is a history of the company

Osram being a well known company in the UK, i'd put an estimate of about £120-180 on it. Might be more.

Very nice piece of ephemera. Might be 1930s or 40s.

The company in the US became Osram Sylvania. From the size of the wrapper and the ballast housing it looks like it is an early High Pressure Sodium lamp of 30-70 watts. The problem is they were invented by GE in 1965. The packaging looks much older meaning it may be a Mercury Vapor lamp. Does it say anything on the lamp (bulb) like wattage or voltage or a number like LU35 or MVR50? You say that it works. Are you in Europe? I would like to see the shape of the lamp too. Unfortunately I can't read the packaging.
