Title: Engraved asian metal vase
Post by: billwas1 on March 29, 2014, 01:55:18 PM
Looks to be crudely engraved by hand. Unknown marking on the bottom, probably chinese or japanese. There is a little paint in some of the markings that I did not wash off. Age unknown, but probably 50+ years. Thanks for any help.

I can't say much about this vase, but the decoration is Chinese, not Japanese in Style. I have no ideas how old it is, but not very old, I guess. Old chinese bronze vases are usually of much better qualtiy.

Looks like a modern script seal to me. Not much age to the vase unfortunately  :(
