Indonesian reproduction. Maybe 10 years old? Along the same lines as the antiquey signs & reproduction "mahogany" chippendale dining room suites.

gg--THANKYOU-how did you ever find it?? and where??

My partner & I used to go to the wholesaler just to see what they were bringing in, I saw these when they first came here. We always found it fascinating that people would go to the antique auctions & buy these "antiques". At $15 I don't think you could possibly go wrong, especially if you bought it because you liked it. :) GG

Oh I didn't think you thought it was antique, but the people at auction buying these "antique" Chippendale dining suites, these came from the same place as your type of decorative item. I was trying to find the website of the place we used to go to but I think they have shut their doors.
They really did do a good job on these pieces, I'm not surprised that you thought it was vintage.
Glad to have been able to give you some info. I've rec'd a lot of information from the members here, it's nice to give back. GG

A big antique/vintage mall in Fort Worth used to sell items like this as well. They were imported. They closed a few years back as well. Can't remember where these items were coming in from. They also did plaques of golfers, hunting, etc. that looked really aged.
