sure here it is, with handles 8 inches across, just the bowl is 7/1/2 inches

I was thinking it looks like rust. 

I am sorry but I really cannot tell alot about it from the pictures. :(

since this isn't any lost item from the ages--what would I clean this up with?  Or should I still not bother cleaning it
