I have 2 first edition books from the explorer John H Speke:
Journal of the Discovery of the Source of the Nile
What Led to the Discovery of the Source of the Nile
They are both complete with maps, though they are a a little worn.
Written in 1863 & 1864
I have searched for them both online but its hard to find an accurate price guide, would any value be added because i have both of them?
Here are links to the photos i have currently taken:

any additional info on these books is apprectiated
thanks

You should have much added value because you have both. Saves the collector hunting around for the other one and maybe never finding it. I have found ABC books to be way overstate as to what you can get for them. Ebay is realistic. Email a couple of good rare book companies and see what they say. Just remember it will be about half of what you can get selling to a collector directly.

Who is the publisher of your books ??

Hi mart, the publisher is William Blackwood & Sons, Edinburgh & London

Good,, the ones I saw were priced between $150. and $250. for single books,,,Depending on the condition of yours (can`t see the pics on that site) your set might go between $400, and $500. !! Only problem is it isn`t a very popular book so may not sell well or quickly at that price !!
