The picture has been in our family for many years.
It is Dated 1914 and is by Jas Fielding, the picture is named"on the moors"
I have Tried finding information on the artist or picture but have had no luck. I was wondering if
Anyone had come across anything like this before.
Thank you

What country are you in ?? Is this a print on paper or is it painted on canvas ?? Oh and welcome to the group !! Forgot to say that,, sorry !!

Thank you. I am in the North West of England. The picture seems to be on paper and looks more like a drawing than a painting.

Jas is probably short for James, like Chas was often used for Charles.
No listed artist with that name that i can see so although it's normally a lithograph or engraving in these cases, you may have a drawing.
Can you not tell if it's graphite ? A good eye or using a glass normally does it.
Strange, faceless woodcutter on the left. A dream specialist would have a field day with this work !

Thank you so much for your reply. I am not to good with these sort of things
But if I had to, I would say it was most definitely graphite.
