Title: 1863 cent
Post by: greenacres on May 10, 2014, 01:37:25 PM
This week I had house guests from San Diego.  They wanted to go antiquing.  My cousin bought this as a gift to me. She paid $10.00. We thought it was pretty cool. It was the end of the day.

Nice thoughtful gift...that was designed and originated in Philadelphia.

Neat information! Looks like something was stolen out of his headstone?

We had a great time. We went also to Lancaster, Pa. and Intercourse Pa.. Amazing antiquing! This is Amish country. The cent was bought in New Hope. After New Hope we went to Lambertville, NJ. A week on the go. The craziest day was New York city, lol. There's nowhere like it in the world!

Sounds like a great time!  I hope to make it up that way and antique/second-hand my way across the US!  :)

My husbands cousins loved it! I tried to tell them about New York City , lol but most people can't really imagine it! Getting in cabs is not for the faint of heart, lol. They thought San Deigo had traffic. We were laughing. There no lanes in New York. Its a free for all, and when there's an opening they gun the engine. Total craziness!
