Hello,
My father inherited this drinks decanter set 30 years ago. It plays the tune "Auld Lang Syne" when the lid is opened.
I am interested in it origin, as well as its value.
Thanks in advance.

Is anything on the bottom of the glass bottles ??
-
Hi Mart,
Thanks for the reply. There is nothing written on the bottom of the bottles.
Sorry... After closer examination there is a 'TX' (Or it could be 'TK') in the glass on the bottom.

Can you try to get a pic of the bottom mark ?? Also check the bottom of the metal stand !! Yours looks like possibly the 30`s or 40`s but many of these were made well into the 50`s !!

These were very popular around WWII up until the early 1960's.
However, the demand for them has waned. Agree with Mart to try and verify the markings on the bottle.

Thanks for your reply's. It is very hard to get a clear picture of the markings.
It is 'TX' inside a small oval.

Looks like there is another mark as well just up left of the oval as well.

No. There is no other marks. Just the 'TX' inside the oval.
I think that may just be a reflection from the glass. Sorry for the bad photo.
