The lamp has cherubs on it and looks bronze but underneath it has unusual colors. What is it made of? Thanks.
-
What do you mean "unusual colors" ?? Where ??
-
It has a silver with blue hue underneath as well as the bronze it , so I don't think it is really bronze.
-
It is made of pot metal or white metal with a bronze patina finish. Most likely from the 1930's. Weird bulb! Did that come with it?
-
The bulb is one I had. I just wanted to show it works for the Ebay listing. It is a macaroni Bulb. I love them.
-
Macaroni ?? You mean Marconi ??
-
Oh Mart...now I have Yankee Doodle song stuck in my hat "Stuck a feather in his cap and called it macaroni...Yankee Doodle...." LOL
Yepper, it is a Marconi bulb! So cool!
I am thinking the same as frogpatch on this one!
-
LOL !! Keep on singing KC !! You know when you start that song everyone around will join in !! Don`t know why but they do !!
I thought there was a new light bulb I didn`t know about !!
I think we all agree on this one !!

I never could figure that song out. Who wore the hat? The horse or Yankee Doodle? Was the horse called macaroni or the hat or the feather? Was pasta so popular during the time of the American Revolution that you would name something after it? What shape? Elbows or little three cornered hats? Little hats would hold the mayonnaise well. Something to think about.

LOL !! Only you would dissect it like that Frogpatch !!! Mmmm,,, sounds like Yankee Doodle was not too bright to call a feather, macaroni,,,,or maybe he was just hungry !!
