this is a very old wooden vase my friend bought. It is wooden with two metal bands. The nails or tacks are square, any info would be great. Thanks

Can't tell much from the current pic .... but perhaps this is a drum (minus the drumhead/skin) with ridges on the o/s for percussive 'effects' ?

I believe this is sort of backpack people used (still use in some places in Indonesia). Here it uses to place stuff like chopper, bottle when they go to some bush or some jungle.

Also looks like a South African ( Zulu ) milk bucket but it should have a lid... There was one on an antique programme here in the UK a week or so ago. But i would be happy to say Drum if the end we can not see is also open..
