Title: Possibly old picture frame???

Found a pretty cool picture frame. Has 1933 in raised letters on the back. Is this something that was mass produced? Any info would be appreciated.

I just bought a few similar ones from Italy made of brass.  It's hard to tell in the picture -- no idea what the metal is?  I would suspect brass as well...?

1933 would be the stock/item number not the date.

What are the letters on the leg ??  The clips on the back to secure the mirror ( which is what it would have held) are old ones !!

I am at work right now, I will get your questions answered this evening! Thanks for helping!! I believe the letters are 1933 and the number 9. As far as size, since it's not in front of me, it would hold a small oval portrait. I will get the specific dimensions tonight
