Title: 3 metal containers
Post by: sandfisher on August 15, 2014, 11:40:51 AM
I bought these at a thrift store. $4 for all 3.
I think they look really old. But i/m not very good with items like this.
height 5 1/4, 4 1/2, 3,1/2 inches
The wood stopper is 2 1/2 inches
Unfortunately two of the stoppers were missing. Went back several times but with no luck.
Any information will be appreciated.

Thank you,
sandfisher

Very odd containers !!  But if I were to guess,, I would say they were for spices by the graduated sizes !! They appear hand made !! Middle eastern probably !!  Are they brass ??

Looks like two metals.
I would guess tin,
but each side on each tin appears to be connected onto the pieces and the welded? and it looks like with brass.
