Title: Mottahedeh Lions - Porcelain Sculptures

I bought these recently with some other Mottahedeh items at an estate sale. I haven't found many Mottahedeh designs to be like these. I was wondering if these could be an earlier or more rare set of lions. From what I understand Mildred Mottahedeh was an importer of fine Chinese porcelain pieces, and that there are a lot of fakes out there. I've seen some pieces sell on eBay for decent $. Unfortunately one has a repaired tail.  :(

What are your thoughts on them? Would they be considered Art Deco?

Didn`t find any like these but found other styles !! These,, if large enough,, look like they could be bookends !!  Not selling well on ebay,, no bids at all on any of this porcelain !!

I would suggest that you inquire with the Mottahedeh site.  They are still in business and could help you more than the rest of us!

Is the repair on the one on left ??? If so,its a pretty good repair and may not make a huge difference !!
