Hello,
I recently picked this up at an auction in a lot with som "Black Sambo" memorabilia. Is there anyone who can help identify the language and possibly the title. I would love to learn the history behind this but I'm not even sure what language it's in. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

Looks like a russian (not 100% on that) copy of "Uncle Toms' Cabin" to me !

I think KC can read a bit of Russian !! Maybe she can translate the title !!

Did some quick research on your little old book ....
Looks to be a 1920's publishing from T-va M.O. Vol'f , St Petersburg/Moscow (S.Peterburg/Moskova) , Vwdoyle .
Uncle Toms' Cabin , AKA "Life Among The Lowly" was a favorite of Lenin , in his childhood , BTW .

WOW! You guys are amazing. Thank you for all the quick and informative responses.

Fancypants nailed it! It is the Russian Version of Uncle Tom's Cabin - the Title translates into English "Shack Uncle Tom".
