My hubby brought this home a couple of days ago. What are your thoughts? There is inlay on the top, but damaged.

It needs TLC. The bottom someone tried fixing it with a screw.

I would say Deco period,,late 30`s or early 40`s !! Nice little demi-lune side table or hall table !!  Whats wrong with the top ??  Scratches ??
