Title: Old wood model ship

I have seen many different versions of this on Ebay ect.  I am trying to figure out how old it is and if it was a model kit???  Any information would be helpful.  14" wide & 12" high  Very detailed on the deck.

What does the plate say ?? Did you look on the bottom to see if there was a sticker at some time ??

It says USS Constitution 1814.  Nothing on the bottom.  I think it is from around the 50"s possibly.

There are bunches of them out there - all kinds - all sizes.

50`s and 60`s guys were big into these replica model kits !!
